Words As Art
My other life--as an artist--is very similar to my business life. I create journals using both writing and art--I'll transform a page using anything from sketching to ink washes, stitching, incorporating unusual or handmade papers.
Letterforms and words hold deep meaning for me, and much of my artwork explores using letters or words as art. Symbols, alphabets, codes are all part of this art.

Make Your Own Journal
After trying many journals in many sizes, I've decided to make some of my own. I'm experimenting with many covers--from well-designed cookie boxes, to heavily inked watercolor paper (see image at left).

Because I am an instructor, I also teach raw-art journaling. Life as an artist imitates real life.
