Note: To all of you who thought I was spamming you, an apology. A phisher and click-bait genius used this site as a skin for spammy emails. He signed up quite a few people who didn’t want to be signed up, resulting in anger, frustration and roiling emotions. While it’s not quite over, it’s under control. Thanks for your patience. I would never sell, rent, or spam you. Not after 11 years of blogging.

Way back in December and January, we chose a word for the year. Now that it’s August, and the year is more than half passed (how did that happen?), check in with your word.
Do you remember it? Is it serving you well? Are you pleased with the choice? Does it inspire you, teach you, help you make it through the tough days when nothing lines up right?
Have you forgotten it? Is it dragging behind you like a beach towel that got drenched by a wave? Do you not remember why you chose it?
If your word is not serving you, maybe now is a good time to trade it in for a new one. No rule says you have to stick by a word that is not helping, supporting, and encouraging you. (We don’t need people like that, either, but words? Out!). Or honor the original by writing it in your calendar on the 10th of the month, so you can sit down and have it speak to you.
Leave a comment if you like, and let us know about the next step between you and your word of the year.
